Salamander Guru rating rose because of the IU effect??

SBS "Salamander Guru" experiences a rise in their viewer ratings. It was reported that from last week, their ratings this week rose 0.8% and now their viewer rating is 5.1%  and for this week's episode IU was among the stars who made a cameo on the show.

"Salamander Guru" has had quite a sum of cameo's from idol's such as Dynamic Duo and Taeyeon of SNSD however, the ratings still struggled and the fact that they had famous singers making a cameo, the show still received low viewer rating. This week they had tiger JK and IU and the show experienced a rise in their viewer rating.

Meanwhile, the show is thinking of more innovative and exciting scenes for the show to have the show's viewer rating to continue to rise. On the other hand, KBS "Love and War 2" received a 10.2% viewer rating and MBC "Special" received a 6.7% viewer rating.

Winner from the '2012 Korean Music Awards'

On February 29, the '2012 Korean Music Awards' was held at the AX Korea in Seoul. The awards ceremony acknowledges the achievement made by the artists in the past year. Winners are decided by a panel of judges consisting of music critics, music radio PDs, and other professionals within the industry.

Prior to the event, the results for the Netizens’ Choice awards were released. As voted by netizens, Verbal Jintwon the ‘Netizen-Picked Best Male Singer’, IU won the ‘Netizen-Picked Best Female Singer’ and INFINITEreceived the honor of ‘Netizen-Picked Best Group’.

IU becomes pickpocket on 'Salamander Guru and The Gong'

Singer IU has transformed into a pickpocket.

Previously, it was revealed that IU would be making a cameo appearance on Episode 6 of the sitcom "Salamander Guru and the Gang".

IU, who will be using her real name 'Jieun' on the show, steals Wonsam's wallet when he visits the donut shop. The cute appearance of Jieun catches Wonsam's eye but is astonished to find out that she is actually a pickpocket.

A large sum of money he intended to donate to the orphanage was inside the wallet, thus Wonsam decides to hunt down pickpocket. At the shopping plaza, Wonsam bumps into Jieun and she accuses him of statutory rape and makes a narrow escape, then she performs on the streets with a guitarist at a park and lies that she stole his wallet because she needed to help her mum pay the hospital bills.

Upon hearing that IU would be making a cameo appearance on the show, viewers responded, "Got to watch the sitcom", "Although she's a pickpocket, she has a unique charm that doesn't make us hate her", "Looking forward to IU's acting".

Meanwhile, despite filming at Omok Park in such cold weather, IU presented beautiful performances that made the long filming into the night enjoyable for the crew. This episode will be broadcast on March 2nd at 11:05 PM.

Plastic Surgery? IU explain why her looks have change

IU provided an honest explanation for the noticeable change in her physical appearance since her debut.

On December 13th, while IU was on KBS 2TV talk show Win Win, the topic of plastic surgery got brought up during the interview. Regarding constant plastic surgery rumors she had to deal with, IU said, “When I look at my own photos from my early debut days, I realize that I really did change a lot from back then. There is such a big difference, that even I would think I had plastic surgery done.”

IU debuted at a very young age, when she was still a student in middle school. IU said, “Back then, I barely wore any makeup,” and plus, “I am now 1.8 cm taller (0.7 in) and 10 kg thinner (22 lb).”

IU also talked about how people used to often call her pretty when she was a little girl. However, as she grew a bit older, she “started getting uglier,” according to IU herself. IU pointed out, “When I look at pictures from my debut days, I realize how much I’ve changed.” Then she added, “But now, I think I look a little bit prettier than when I first debuted.”
